John is spiritual, a yogi, a fitness instructor & he also has a healthy obsession with movement. He has travelled the world from the likes of Panama, Costa Rico, Columbia, etc., and is still looking for growth, enlightenment, & challenges. He comes from a small town in Indiana, USA, and has been active and engulfed in nature since he was young. He started university in Memphis, Tennessee and played baseball. A life changing injury brought him back home, and he finished university at Purdue. He exercises by the likes of yoga, animal flow, martial arts, and movement daily, all while maintaining a pescatarian diet. His favorite meal is fish or shrimp tacos, and he has a major sweet tooth.
Yoga was apart of John’s routine during baseball season back in college, though at the time it was only stretching to him. It wasn’t until several years later where yoga took ahold of John and started to slowly change his life. After practicing yoga for awhile, John was looking to dive deeper and find more growth, so he took off to Costa Rica where he completed his Yoga Alliance 200HR Certification with Marianne Wells Yoga School. Yoga has helped John grow stronger, more flexible and fearless, both on and off the mat. Yoga inspires and guides him to live in each moment more mindfully.
In John’s practices, you will find a love of combined creative sequencing or flowing, with a playfulness & caring spirit, all while delivering a dose of inspiration to help you deepen your practice. John thrives in helping others, to re-ignite the fire within to help nurture the body, mind, & soul. His hope & goal is that when you step off the mat you are feeling refreshed, nourished & balanced.
